Arbitration & Labor Disputes

We represent professional football players in employment, contractual and disciplinary disputes before FIFA, CAS, national tribunals and other competent bodies.

Professional football players may face serious disputes with clubs, agents, federations or other stakeholders during their careers. These disputes can involve unpaid salaries, bonuses, unlawful deductions, termination of contract, exclusion from training, deregistration, disciplinary sanctions, transfer-related conflicts or other breaches of contractual rights.

We represent players in employment and football-related disputes before FIFA, CAS, national tribunals and other competent bodies. Our work includes assessing the player’s legal position, preparing default notices, building the evidentiary file, negotiating settlements, filing claims and managing the full dispute strategy.

We assist players in cases involving overdue payables, just cause termination, abusive conduct, demotion, exclusion from team activities, disciplinary proceedings, contractual penalties, transfer disputes, agent-related conflicts and enforcement of awards or decisions.

Our approach is practical and evidence-driven. We help players understand their rights, evaluate the risks of each step and take strategic action when a club or counterparty fails to comply with its obligations.

The firm combines legal expertise, international football experience and a deep understanding of FIFA, CAS and domestic dispute mechanisms, helping players protect their contractual position and pursue effective remedies.

  • When should a player take legal action against a club?faq-plus-btn.svg

A player should seek legal advice as soon as a club fails to pay salaries, imposes unlawful deductions, excludes the player from training, attempts to force a termination, deregisters the player, imposes disproportionate sanctions or otherwise breaches the contract. Early advice is important because notices, evidence and timing may affect the player’s legal position.

  • Can a player terminate the contract if salaries are unpaid?faq-plus-btn.svg

In certain circumstances, yes. Overdue payables may justify termination with just cause if the relevant legal and procedural conditions are met. However, players should not terminate without legal advice. The amount overdue, duration of non-payment, notices sent, club conduct and available evidence all matter.

  • What evidence should a player keep in a dispute?faq-plus-btn.svg

A player should keep the contract, payment records, bank statements, messages with the club, training schedules, squad lists, disciplinary letters, medical records, emails, notices, flight or housing documents and any proof showing availability to perform. In football disputes, the evidentiary file is often as important as the legal argument.
