Sports Law Counsel, Mexico City

We are looking for a sports law professional based in Mexico City to support the firm’s work in Mexico and Latin America.

The role will involve assisting with the firm’s legal and commercial sports activities in the LATAM market, with a particular focus on Mexico. This may include advising and supporting clients in matters involving football contracts, player and club disputes, agents, sponsorships, regulatory issues, commercial sports projects and international sports business development.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience or clear professional focus in sports law
  • Excellent knowledge of the Mexican and Latin American sports market
  • Native-level Spanish and native-level or excellent professional English
  • Legal qualification or significant legal experience in Mexico or another relevant jurisdiction
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and client-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and communicate with international clients
  • Experience with football clubs, players, agents, leagues, federations or sports businesses is a significant advantage
  • Familiarity with FIFA regulations, CAS proceedings or football dispute-resolution mechanisms is an advantage
